President
Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
(H.R. 1) into law.
The
bill will
allow
first-time homebuyers to receive a tax credit worth up to
$8,000
for
purchasing a principal residence on or after January 1, 2009 and
before December 1, 2009.
Recipients of this
credit will not have to repay it and
have a special option of claiming the tax credit on either their
2008 or 2009 tax returns.
California has joined in by offering a tax credit worth up to
$10,000 to any home buyer, first time or not, of any income
level, who buys a newly-constructed home that's never been
lived in between March 1, 2009 and March 1, 2010. Call us
